The opening night of 2017 PHXFW was a night filled with emotions, fun, fashion, education, community, charity and lifestyle emerging designers.
The pink show featuring breast cancer survivors always brings tears to my eyes; as I lost my mother to this terrible disease. I was very impressed and excited to see so many generous people donate to checkforalump.org through the fabulous auction that took place live on the runway.
There was also a community night were local emerging designers show off 2 of their best looks. My special pick of the night for these designers was Couture Aprons.
And to support education here are some designs from students of the Art Institute Az.
Then it was time for the Emerging Designers. They were all competing for lifestyle designer of the year. The designers were: ShaLaja Swimwear, WVSH, Moon Arrow, Liv Rio & QMULATIVE. These designers work very hard to get to this point and they were all amazing but at the end of the night there was only One winner.
The runway of the Emerging Designers was opened by: Â ShaLaja Swimwear and as everyone must know I am an ocean lover, beach addict and Bikini Crazy so I must add… I “I absolutely Loved ShaLaja”.

Closing out the night was QMULATIVE a Designer in our backyard “Tucson Az.” and He had an extraordinary collection. Here it’s a glimpse.
